I'm a passionate traveler, lover of life and seeker. I love surprises (giving them and getting them) - but wasn't prepared for this surprise: a cancer diagnosis.

This website is a place to record whatever comes up for me on this little detour . . . all the blessings, bonuses and bummers.

The news I received on July 6, 2016, rocked my world. Traveling the planet was my career, my calling, my passion. My business involved organizing and leading groups to wondrous destinations where we created amazing, unforgettable and “wow” experiences.

I loved it. I had the greatest employees, a fabulous network of worldwide suppliers to help make the magic happen and customers/friends who were loyal and encouraging. And, although there were two major goals I wanted to accomplish in this lifetime (writing a memoir and starting a foundation), nothing - short of a dire diagnosis - was going to interrupt the lifestyle I was living.

The unwelcome news delivered by my doctor on that day has temporarily clipped my wings and has given me pause - in every sense of the word.
